My wife and I entered the Austin Natural Mattress store on Burnet Road after a lot of online research but with only a vague idea of what we wanted. Hollis was absolutely amazing at dispelling some misconceptions we had, he provided a lot of relevant background information, and he basically treated us like family, not a customer. What makes the in-store experience so critical when shopping for beds is the ability to actually lay down on one and feel the difference. That alone would have been overwhelming due to all the choices offered at this location, but Hollis described the differences in how the bed/mattresses were made so we could 'feel' the difference. After researching and wasting my time looking for a mattress in conventional stores, I purchased two mattresses, only to return them within two weeks. Both highly advertised and award-winning 5-star mattresses appeared to be buckling in places around the edges and contained lumps throughout. I have since learned that all new conventional mattresses are made with memory foam, which makes the bed hot, does not hold its shape, and changes into quicksand once you get in bed, if you can get into bed at all.I had given up until I called Austin Natural Mattress and spoke to Hollis. I actually called about 6 times to ask questions. Each time, Hollis was calm and patient. He answered the question very confidently. He was super friendly! I went to the store the next day, and Hollis showed the same type of courtesy as he had done the day before. Without pressure, I learned the vast differences in these super clean, Amish-made mattresses. In fact, I knew the most significant differences between the two types of mattresse when I lay on them. I purchased a Naturepedic mattress for less than I had paid for the ones I had returned.Hollis made sure he explained all the details to me, and he even provided a “loaner “ for me to use while my new one was being made. You can quickly tell that Hollis loves his job!Needless to say, I won't waste days finding a mattress next time., Instead, I will make one call to Hoollis at Austin Natural Mattress.

Charles was wonderful. I called in advance to ask a few questions about the organic kids mattresses they sold (Avocado and Naturepedic) and Charles was super helpful. Given mattresses are expensive, I decided to bring one of my children in to test out the mattresses. We ended up purchasing two naturepedic versa mattresses, Avocado mattress toppers and water proof mattress covers. Ambiance of the store was great and I never felt pressured to make the purchase at the moment. Though I did end up buying at the end of the visit! Great prices, and great products I feel good about having my kids sleep on. We plan to come back to replace our Tempurpedic in a year or so. Thanks so much!
